Grand Ole Opry. The Grand Ole Opry has had more than half a dozen homes since it’s inception in the 1920s as a radio variety show. At first, it featured a live radio show of most instrumental acts, but in 1938, vocal hits took over in popularity. Gaylord Entertainment Center. The Gaylord Entertainment Center, also known as the Nashville Arena, is the home of the Nashville Predators, a National Hockey League team. Music City Theater is a 5,145-seat theater within the Nashville Arena, which has hosted musical concerts acts from Martina McBride to 50 Cent to the Lord of the Dance. Country Music Hall of Fame. The Country Music Hall of Fame is operated by the non-profit Country Music Foundation (CMF). The mission of the CMF is to identify and preserve the evolving history and traditions of country music and to educate its audiences.
